To advance existing systems and to develop novel educational methodology, interdisciplinary research, and clinical initiatives all designed to provide better healthcare for adults with chronic disabilities. IFCD will develop and promote collaborative relationships among those involved in the healthcare, education, and research of those health conditions frequently encountered in adults with both childhood-onset and adult-onset chronic health conditions.
To improve the health of adults, who reside in both community and institutional settings, who suffer from disabilities that result from chronic medical disorders (especially chronic brain disorders), while at the same time ensuring they live satisfying and fulfilling lives, with dignity, respect, and free will.
